Merl and Karen Melton are the most experienced instructor couple in Northeast Michigan. They have over 35 years combined experience instructing divers in all experience levels from Junior Scuba Diver to Assistant Instructor.

Continuing education is an important part of scuba diving. Merl and Karen can teach the Specialty Courses that many divers will enjoy, including Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Boat Diver, Dry Suit Diver, Night Diver, Search and Recovery Diver, Underwater Navigator, and Equipment Specialist.

New for 2001 is the Dive Propulsion Vehicle Diver Specialty Course. When you learn how to use a DPV in this course, you will be ready to explore the wrecks of Thunder Bay in a new and exciting way.

Merl and Karen are ready to meet your dive instruction needs on your trip to the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary and Underwater Preserve. They are also ready to provide Orientation Dives for divers not experienced in the special conditions of Great Lakes wreck diving.
